Change the world or inform accurately?

http://www.aljazeera.com/news/middleeast/2014/03/israel-passes-ultra-orthodox-draft-law-2014312101340345116.html

If you read this story, and most important, if you read the discussion that´s held in the comments, you can notice that some stories have consequences, they make the reader uncomfortable, or happy, or angry. But they have an effect. They are a tool for people to understand the reality. And maybe, also want to change it. Are journalists supposed to write stories that have consequences or just inform accurately?

  2. Sorry, typo, reposted--not other changes. I thought this was a fair-minded report. The reporter could have explored a deeper issue of greater integration into Israeli society.

Jane Wagner said, “Reality is just a collective hunch," so take my note with the knowledge, I'm not familiar with the intricacies of Israeli politics.
