An Interesting Take on Media Bias
CBS news reporter Sharyl Attkisson resigned recently, citing in part a liberal bias at CBS News and the network's alleged stifling of some of her attempts to report critically on the Obama administration. Some at CBS reportedly thought Attkisson had a conservative anti-Obama agenda, so it looks like allegations of political bias were thrown in both directions.

Don, I read the article. When I hear news stories reported in the U.S., then covered by BBC, Al-Jazeera, Canadian TV...; the stories, on occasion, feel alien, and filtered through indigenous cultural understanding-on rare occasions, bias. ReplyDeleteWell, yes, spying is what Brenner's agency does. In the following AlJazeera article, Brenner is quoted as saying, “I’ll be happy to address that question at the time when the committee leadership requests that information from me." How different the two presentations are--although one is video and the other written... In America, Brenner sounds as though he only answers to the President.
